Learn how to tap your memory to find stories, how to shape and “embellish” them for telling, and how to find the right moment and place to share your stories. Elizabeth will tell a few stories and participants will have an opportunity to discover, play with, and share a few stories of their own.
Presented by Elizabeth Matson, HPL Head of Youth Services and professional storyteller. Elizabeth Matson is the co-author of The Bookcase Ghost: a Storyteller’s Collection of Wisconsin Ghost Stories. She has Masters in Folklore and Library Science and has been telling stories “out loud” since she was five. She has listened to, collected, and told personal and family stories at the kitchen table and in front of a microphone.
